To Mauritius: Condor successfully completes maiden flight with Airbus A330neo

Africa-Press – Mauritius. Condor’s first Airbus A330neo reached its destination, the island paradise of Mauritius, safely and on time this morning. Condor’s first flight with the Airbus A330neo has landed safely in Mauritius.

At 4:26 p. m. on December 27, the plane took off from Frankfurt on the almost eleven-hour flight to Port Louis in Mauritius. The machine has the call sign CFG2314 and is registered as D-ANRA.

This Airbus A330neo is the first of a total of 18 aircraft that have been ordered and will be handed over to Condor over the coming weeks and months, as reported by fvw.

The flight from Frankfurt to Mauritius was not only a very special one for the guests, but also for the Condor airline. With the new Airbus A330neo, the airline has now ushered in a new era.

The maiden flight was originally planned for December 18, but had to be postponed due to a towing accident with associated damage. Nine days later than planned, the time had come and the first Airbus A330neo was able to take off for Mauritius on December 27th.

After a flight time of ten hours and 47 minutes, the Airbus landed in Mauritius shortly after 6 a. m. local time. After the successful landing, the aircraft was welcomed with a small ceremony.

The flight must also have been a special experience for the guests on board the Airbus A330neo. The 30 Business Class seats are arranged in a 1-2-1 configuration, so every passenger has guaranteed aisle access.

Likewise, the seats convert into a fully flat bed, which is a significant improvement over the previous Condor Business Class. Every seat has an entertainment program with connectivity on board and in the best 4K resolution.

USB-A/USB-C and power outlets are also available for guests at each seat. Conclusion on the successful first flight of the Airbus A330neo After small initial difficulties that were not our fault, the time had finally come.

The Airbus A330neo was sent by Condor on its first scheduled flight to Mauritius and completed it successfully. For the guests, this aircraft represents significant added value compared to the older Airbus A330 aircraft in the Condor fleet, which are otherwise used on long-haul routes. I am pleased that the first flight went smoothly and that we can look forward to more Airbus A330neos in the fleet soon.
