Supplementary Appropriation Bill: Berenger and Bhagwan expelled from Parliament

Africa-Press – Mauritius. Debates on the Supplementary Appropriation Bill were disrupted on Tuesday, April 4, following heated exchanges between the Speaker of the National Assembly, Sooroojdev Phokeer, and the leader of the Mauritian Militant Movement (MMM), Paul Bérenger.

This happened just after the intervention of the purple deputy, Reza Uteem, on the said bill. An exchange of remarks between Paul Bérenger and Sooroojdev Phokeer set fire to the powder, the Speaker asking him to withdraw the word he had used against him.
