Africa-Press – Mauritius. The Ministry of Health and Wellness received, yesterday, a total of 30 000 doses of Component 2 of Sputnik V vaccine. The Russian vaccine requires the administration of two doses. Unlike other COVID-19 vaccines, the first shot is different from the second one.
The Sputnik V vaccine is currently available from Monday to Saturday, between 09 15 hrs and 15 15 hrs, in the following vaccination centres:
Ministry of Health and Wellness Central Warehouse, Castel
Swami Vivekananda International Convention Centre, Pailles
Pandit Sahadeo Gymnasium, Vacoas
Anjalay Stadium, Belle Vue
Aquarelle Ltd, Surinam.
Persons who have already received their first dose will soon be able to get their second dose. Regarding the ongoing vaccination campaign in the country, as at yesterday, 819 323 persons have already received their first dose and a total of 754 323 have been inoculated with their second dose.
