Africa-Press – Mauritius. Mauritian Prime Minister Navin Ramgoolam departed for Madagascar this afternoon to attend the 5th Indian Ocean Commission (IOC) Summit of Heads of State and Government.
The summit will take place on Thursday, April 24th, at the Ivato International Conference Centre in Antananarivo. Mr. Ramgoolam leads a delegation including Foreign Minister Dhananjay Ramful and other officials.
The Prime Minister’s participation will involve discussions on various issues central to the IOC’s agenda. His schedule includes a planned meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron.
This summit represents a significant opportunity for Mauritius to engage in regional cooperation and address key challenges facing the Indian Ocean region. The meeting with President Macron is expected to focus on bilateral relations and areas of mutual interest.
