Africa-Press – Mauritius. The Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt organised this evening, a networking reception for Arabic Teachers in Mauritius, in Ebène. The theme of the event was Arabic for All and Arabic as an instrument for the economic recovery of the Tourism sector in Mauritius.
The Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Mauritius, Dr. Alya’a Samir Borhan graced the event. The networking reception was also attended by representatives of the Ministry of Education, Tertiary Education, Science and Technology, the Ministry of Tourism as well as the Chairman of the Arabic Speaking Union.
As token of appreciation for their work, shields of appreciation were presented to the rescuers including fire-fighters and police officers on behalf of the Republic of Egypt.
The event also provided a platform for children to showcase some of their acquired talents. During the event, Nasheed (Poem) recitals were performed by children. This initiative aims to bring together Arabic Teachers and representatives of ministries for a better collaboration.
