Africa-Press – Mauritius. Fixtures for the TotalEnergies CAF Under-17 Africa Cup of Nations | COSAFA Qualifier 2026 to be staged in Harare, Zimbabwe from September 11-20 have been released.
Two venues will be used in the festival of youth football which also serves as a qualifier for the continental Under-17 finals that are to be staged next year. The Hearts Stadium and Ngoni Stadium are the two venues to be used, with the final on September 20 to be played at the latter.
Comoros and Eswatini will open the tournament on September 11 when they clash in Group A at the Ngoni Stadium at 12h00 CAT (10h00 GMT). Later that day, hosts Zimbabwe take on Mozambique at 15h00 CAT (13h00).
Group B gets under way at the same venue the following day when Madagascar take on Malawi at 12h00 and Zambia host South Africa in a titanic tussle in that pool. That game is at 15h00.
Mauritius and Lesotho meet in Group C at the Hearts Stadium at 12h00 and later in the day Angola and Botswana open their tournament at the same venue at 15h00. The group stages continue until September 16 with the top teams in each pool and the best runner-up across the three groups advancing to the semifinals.
The winner of Group B will take on the top side in Group C on September 18 at 12h00 at the Ngoni Stadium, while the winner of Group A meets the best Runner-Up at 15h00 at the same venue. The Third-Place Play-Off in on September 20 at 11h00, with the final later in the day at 14h00.
