Africa-Press – Mauritius. The Ambassador designate of the United Republic of Tanzania to Mauritius, Professor Emmanuel David Mwaluko Mbennah, paid a courtesy call, today, on the Vice President, Mr Marie Cyril Eddy Boissezon, at his Office in Quatre Bornes.

Professor Mbennah is an Ordained Anglican Priest. Prior to his appointment as Tanzanian Ambassador to the Republic of Zimbabwe in 2014, he occupied the post of Professor and Vice-Chancellor at St John’s University of Tanzania.

From 2009 to 2015, he was the International Director of Trans World Radio (TWR) for Africa Region based in South Africa, and Country Director for Compassion International, a global holistic child development organization from 2002 to 2009.

Moreover, he was the Senior Lecturer in Communication at Daystar University, National Communications Officer at the Anglican Church of Tanzania, Editor at Central Tanganyika Press in Tanzania and also served as Extraordinary Associate Professor at North-West University in South Africa.

Professor Mbennah, being socially active, is also Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Dodoma Christian Medical Centre Trust, and of the Africa Leadership and Reconciliation Ministries Tanzania Advisory Board.

Furthermore, he is a member of the US-based International Communication Association
Professor Mbennah also holds PhDs in Communication Science and Biblical studies from North-west University, South Africa, since 1999 and 2009 respectively.
