Africa-Press – Mauritius. Tottenham have dismissed Thomas Frank just hours after Marseille confirmed the departure of Roberto De Zerbi, making it a bleak day for managers across Europe. The Danish coach, who arrived last summer from Brentford, failed to stabilize Spurs’ season, leading the club to officially announce his exit on Tuesday morning after a series of damaging results.

In its statement, Tottenham explained that performances and results forced the board to act despite an initial desire to give Frank time to build for the future.

Appointed in June 2025, he began his tenure with defeat in the uefa super cup against Paris Saint-Germain and never managed to find consistency. While the club praised his commitment and professionalism, the lack of progress in domestic competition proved decisive.

A 1–2 home defeat against Newcastle left Tottenham in 16th place, just five points above the relegation zone, sealing Frank’s fate. He leaves with an average of 1.12 points per Premier League match, the lowest of any Spurs manager to oversee at least five games. Tottenham must now quickly identify a replacement, with Roberto De Zerbi already emerging as a potential candidate in the English press.
