Africa-Press – Mauritius. Olympique de Marseille continues to feel the consequences of its painful 3–0 defeat in Bruges, a result that sealed its elimination from the Champions League group stage.
Beyond the sporting failure, that match is now proving costly off the pitch, reinforcing the idea that late January marked a turning point in an already fragile season.

UEFA has sanctioned Marseille for the behavior of its supporters, who used fireworks in the stands. The disciplinary committee imposed a travel ban on OM fans for the next European away match, along with an additional suspended sanction, and fined the club €25,000.

This ruling adds further pressure on a club already shaken by sporting instability and internal tensions. For Marseille, the fallout from the Bruges night is far from over, as the repercussions now extend well beyond the pitch.
