Africa-Press – Mauritius. The Prime Minister, Navin Ramgoolam, took part this afternoon in the centenary celebration of New India Assurance at the Intercontinental Hotel in Balaclava.

When asked about les propos de Pravind Jugnauth, who earlier stated that the wreath-laying ceremony organized at the Aapravasi Ghat “the country is in mourning,” Navin Ramgoolam responded bluntly: “I think he should have said that about himself. He will know soon.”

The head of the government also responded to attacks from his predecessor concerning the Mamy Ravatomanga affair, reminding that his administration will show no complacency.

“As I said on Tuesday in Parliament, we will not tolerate anyone. The mafia will never resurface in Mauritius,” he declared.
