Africa-Press – Mauritius. <\/strong><\/span>The UEFA Champions League, the Europa League, the English Premier League, the FA Cup, the League Cup, La Liga matches, amongst others, are now available on my. t tv via Showmax, a streaming service that bundles the best of international entertainment with live sport from SuperSport channel. \u201d<\/p>\n

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Mauritius Telecom (MT), Mr Sherry Singh, made this announcement, today, in the presence of the Minister of Information Technology, Communication and Innovation, Mr Darsanand Balgobin, at the Hilton Mauritius Resort and Spa in Flic en Flac.<\/p>\n

Mr Singh recalled that in December last year, MT entered in a partnership with Showmax, which formed part of the MultiChoice Group, one of the leading entertainment companies in Africa, in a bid to bring live football coverage from SuperSport to my.<\/p>\n

t customers and football fans in Mauritius. \u201cThrough this partnership,\u201d he stated, \u201cMT reaffirms its commitment to bring the best live sports and entertainment to its customers.<\/p>\n

\u201d \u201cIt is essential to meet the expectations of the customers by offering more value-added entertainment, thereby enriching their lives by providing quality and innovative services and products,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

As regards Showmax, Mr Singh indicated that it targeted a wide population by streaming live football in English and other international sports competitions as well as a variety of tv series, Hollywood blockbusters and films for kids.<\/p>\n

For his part, Minister Balgobin underlined that MT was continuously innovating itself with new products and services in line with the vision of the Ministry, which he said, was to harness digital technologies so as to improve the quality of life of citizens.<\/p>\n

He also spoke of the e-health project geared towards modernising the health sector. Showmax Users of my. t Home Internet and TV subscribers, having a minimum of 20 Mbps, can benefit from Showmax at Rs 500 per month. As for my. t Sports Pack subscribers, they will have to exchange their current box to Smart Box Pro at no additional costs.<\/p>\n

To benefit from Showmax, all new customers must opt for a “Home Internet & TV bundle with Showmax Pro” at the monthly rates as follows: 20Mbps for Rs 1,700; 50Mbps for Rs 2,000; 100Mbps for Rs 2,500; 500Mbps for Rs 4,300; and 1Gbps for Rs 6,500.<\/p>\n
