Africa-Press – Mauritius. <\/strong><\/span>Budget 2022-23 caters for key measures to boost employment opportunities in line with Government\u2019s aim of increasing the purchasing power of all citizens, and supporting the economy on its recovery path.<\/p>\n

The Minister of Finance, Economic Planning and Development, Dr Renganaden Padayachy, highlighted these new Governmental measures, this evening, during his presentation of the Budget 2022-23.<\/p>\n

He stressed that sectors such as renewable energy, financial services, ICT, manufacturing, tourism, and construction are all in need of more employees.<\/p>\n

In order to bring thousands of young Mauritians and women into the labour force, Government will provide a monthly Prime \u00e0 l\u2019Emploi of Rs 15,000 for the first year of employment of 10,000 youths between 18 and 35 years and women up to 50 years.<\/p>\n

The new Budget also provides for new employment opportunities for some 8,353 people in the public sector. Other measures to facilitate employment are:<\/p>\n
