Africa-Press – Mauritius. <\/strong><\/span>TOP homegrown lifestyle tea brand Tealive continues to expand its footprint internationally after another successful opening of its first outlet in Mauritius, the brand\u2019s eighth international market, through a
\nfranchise agreement with local conglomerate Edendale Group. The store at Curepipe, just outside the capital of Port Louis, opened to long lines of eager Mauritians who could not wait to get a taste of South-East Asia\u2019s most popular bubble tea.
\nLoob Holding Sdn Bhd founder and CEO Bryan Loo said the successful entry into Mauritius was the result of consistent efforts by Edendale, a leading importer of Malaysian goods.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur focus has always been on South-East Asia, but Edendale approached us as they are familiar with Tealive in Malaysia.
\nAfter several meetings, we\u2019re convinced that Edendale has the resources, expertise and passion to spread the love of tea into Mauritius, and we\u2019re happy to sign them on as the master franchisee for Mauritius,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Loo added that the franchisee plans to open five stores in two years in this Indian Ocean island nation, as Edendale \u2014 which has divisions operating across food and beverage, fast-moving consumer goods,
\ndistribution of rubber products, and provision of accounting and legal services \u2014 has an impressive track record of 10 years in quick-service restaurants.
\n\u201cWe\u2019re indeed humbled by the tremendous response from Mauritians to our first store and we hope to spread the modern tea lifestyle over there.<\/p>\n

We will stay true to our brand promise of \u2018Always More Than Tea\u2019 to delight our tea-lovers everywhere,\u201d he added. Asked if Tealive intends to penetrate Africa further, Loo said there are currently no plans yet.
\n\u201cWe\u2019ll take it one step at a time. Our focus is still in our region, but Loob is always open to opportunities,\u201d he quipped. Brewing in the Malaysian market since February 2017, Tealive has now bubbled into the largest lifestyle tea brand in South-East Asia.
\nToday, it serves over five million consumers per month with over 750 outlets in Malaysia, Australia, Brunei, Myanmar, the Philippines, the UK, Vietnam, Cambodia and Mauritius.<\/p>\n
