Africa-Press – Mauritius. <\/strong><\/span>Do you own a shell company in the notoriously shady tax haven of Mauritius? Ridiculous question, right? Well, Lisa Scheller does. Scheller, the Republican candidate for the Lehigh Valley\u2019s congressional seat, has a holding company called \u201cSilberline Mauritius Limited\u201d that deals with some of her Silberline international business.<\/p>\n

For those who might not know exactly what having a holding company in Mauritius means (including myself until I read the recent news report about this), Mauritius is a well-known tax haven and location where some of the richest people across the world put their money to evade taxes.<\/p>\n

Scheller has refused to answer any questions about these news reports, exactly what Silberline Mauritius is doing, or why she has a sketchy holding company in an international tax haven.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s pretty clear to me that Scheller is just another member of the wealthy elite who has so many business interests she can\u2019t keep them straight, nor can she answer questions about exactly what\u2019s going on with them. I don\u2019t want someone like that representing me in Congress.<\/p>\n
