Africa-Press – Mauritius. <\/strong><\/span>Yesterday, Air Mauritius passengers remained confined for several hours in a ground aircraft. As they were going to check in this morning, Fabienne and her mother learned that their departure would be postponed to 5 p.<\/p>\n

m. Fabienne and her mother had booked their ticket to Mauritius since September. As they were going to check in this morning at Rolland Garros airport, the hostess told them that they would not be boarding their flight initially scheduled for 11:55 a.<\/p>\n

m. , but on the 5 p. m. flight. \u201cApparently they forgot to warn us earlier. I also asked them if we couldn’t travel on the next 2pm flight, but apparently ‘it doesn’t work that way’ I was told.<\/p>\n

7 hours of waiting, without air conditioning or compensation<\/p>\n

Currently in the departure lounge, Fabienne and her 85-year-old mother are waiting in unbearable heat: \u201cThe air conditioning does not work, as do the escalators that lead to the waiting room.<\/p>\n

Mom is not walking very well, the course was complicated. . . \u201d The ground crew did not try to offer them reimbursement for their meal: it was Fabienne who had to ask to meet the station manager who gave them a voucher of 10 euros each.<\/p>\n

Fabienne does not know if there would be other passengers in the same case, but tried to go to the counter of the company to file a request for compensation: the latter was closed.<\/p>\n
