This is Anand Ramchurn. He succeeds Giandev Moteea, who is retiring at the end of January.<\/p>\n<p>The latter spent 20 years as CEO when the post office was privatized in 2003. Note that Anand Ramchurn is the Deputy Director of the Mauritius Qualifications Authority (MQA).<\/p>\n<p>No doubt, he will benefit from unpaid leave for this post of CEO, which is contractual for a period of two years. It has been at least three years since the retirement of the CEO of the Mauritius Post Ltd.<\/p>\n<p>was announced. His contract was renewed on a monthly basis. There was a call for applications for the position and about fifteen people applied. The new CEO will be responsible for implementing the strategic plan prepared by Deloitte.<\/p>\n<p>Indeed, commissioned by Minister Deepak Balgobin, this report, it is said, is ready at the level of the Ministry of Information Technology, responsible for the management of the Post Office.<\/p>\n<p>This plan aims to bring about a profound restructuring of the postal services. We learn that there will be more emphasis on e-commerce and the setting up of a warehouse for parcel stock. Because there are more and more requests for online purchases, and for that, the post office must reinvent itself.<\/p>\n<p>One of the new challenges of the new management \u2013 knowing that there are also changes at the level of the board of directors \u2013 is to make up for the deficit caused mainly by the payment of pensions for employees who are retiring.
