Africa-Press – Mauritius. <\/strong><\/span>The Minister of Land Transport and Light Rail, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Integration and International Trade, Mr. Alan Ganoo, met the French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Mrs.<\/p>\n

Catherine Colonna, on 03 March 2023 on the sidelines of the G20 meeting in New Delhi. During the meeting, the two Ministers evoked the two countries privileged bilateral relations which is anchored in trust.<\/p>\n

In addition, they welcomed the resumption of tourist activities in Mauritius after two years in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, with notably the influx of French and European tourists along with French nationals seeking to settle and invest in the country.<\/p>\n

Discussions between Minister Ganoo and Minister Colonna focused on the close cooperation between Mauritius and France on both the bilateral and regional level, in particular within the Indian Ocean Commission, in the perspective of Mauritius being next in line to take over its presidency. The implementation of present and future cooperation projects was also brought forth during the meeting.<\/p>\n
