Africa-Press – Mauritius. <\/strong><\/span>Mauritius will sign a bilateral agreement with South Korea with the aim to attracting more Korean tourists to Mauritius, announced the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Integration and International Trade, Mr.<\/p>\n

Maneesh Gobin. The statement was made following the South Korean Ambassador, Mr. Son Yong-ho\u2019s call on Minister Gobin, this morning, in Port Louis. The courtesy call was followed by a ceremony of donation of Samsung office equipment by the Republic of Korea to the Ministry.<\/p>\n

In his address, Minister Gobin stated that the meeting was an opportunity for both nations to reaffirm their commitment to maintaining robust bilateral relations.<\/p>\n

He stressed on the excellent relations between the two countries, while highlighting the crucial role of \u2018people-to-people relations\u2019 in forging deeper connections.<\/p>\n

The Minister expressed his wish to have a full-fledged ambassador of South Korea in Mauritius and invited Ambassador Yong-ho whose official residence is Madagascar to spend some time in Mauritius so as to experience the Mauritian hospitality.<\/p>\n

Mr Gobin also expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Republic of Korea for its generous donation. Ambassador Yong-ho, for his part, explained that the donation by the Republic of Korea will assist employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to better perform their job.<\/p>\n

He also commented on the forthcoming bilateral agreement between the two countries aiming to attract more Korean tourists to Mauritius which, he added, is perceived as a honeymoon destination.<\/p>\n
