Africa-Press – Mauritius. <\/strong><\/span>One of the biggest global technology events \u201cWeb Summit\u201d returns this year to Lisbon, capital of Portugal, where it brings together, from the 13th to the 16th of this month, at Altice Arena & Fil, more than 70,000 companies that are at the forefront of the technology industry.<\/p>\n

The event brings together global technology, entrepreneurship and innovation operators. After going digital in 2020, Lisbon will once again host the Web Summit and, for this reason, thousands of people from different countries around the world can visit the city.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s event features lively sessions by technology experts, cultural icons and global policymakers, including interactive debate sessions, masterclasses, round tables and experience sharing.<\/p>\n

Although it is best known for its technological aspect, this conference also addresses other topics such as marketing and media, society and current times, commerce, lifestyle, and business development.<\/p>\n

Promoters say that, in the current situation, increasing skills has never been so important. The event\u2019s educational content, information covered and innovative round tables attract a diverse list of global speakers and inspire and empower the diverse participants.<\/p>\n

The organization expects to welcome more than 160 countries and of the participants in the forecast, 42 percent are estimated to be women, which signals a move towards parity in technologies, a scenario that was very different a few years ago.<\/p>\n

In this edition, there are more than 2,600 beginners (debuts), more than 800 investors, as well as more than two thousand accredited journalists, numbers that reveal the magnitude and mobilization of the technology industry.<\/p>\n
