He described it as reminiscent of totalitarian regimes. The system reportedly cost a staggering USD 110 million (Rs 5.2 billion), a sum Ramgoolam criticized for its misallocation of funds that could have benefited health and education. The Dubai-based company PertSol, responsible for maintenance, received USD 7.5 million annually.<\/p>\n<p>Ramgoolam highlighted the lack of transparency surrounding the contracts for this system and promised a full investigation into their procurement.
