In the UK, GDP growth slowed from 0.7% to 0.3%, owing primarily to a 1.1% contraction in investments in the second quarter, following 2.0% growth in the first quarter.<\/p>\n<p>Germany and Italy both recorded negative growth, falling from 0.3% to -0.3% and -0.1%, respectively, with Germany&#8217;s contraction driven primarily by falling goods exports.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Across the rest of the OECD, the situation was similarly mixed.
