Africa-Press – Mauritius. <\/strong><\/span>The Mauritian is fond of political speculation. He likes situations that sow confusion, misunderstanding, uncertainty, even hassle. He follows closely, very closely even the mood swings of the leaders of the three main political parties.<\/p>\n

The various ‘koze koz\u00e9’ between Navin Ramgoolam and Paul B\u00e9renger are interpreted as a political rapprochement of their respective political parties. The call to order from the guru of the sun party, SAJ, to his partner in the ‘remake’, makes him tremble.<\/p>\n

From there, he shuns the working sessions with the PM and sends his second. Especially since at the moment there is a lot of talk about electoral reforms \u2013 we even talk about them too much.<\/p>\n

Is it really an emergency? Mauritians of the middle class, but also of the poor class, are fed up with these various political movements which consume precious time in discussions.<\/p>\n

If, instead of discussing here and there the affairs of the country as an amateur, some say, the leaders of the political parties analyze without political passion, the economic situation of the country, everyone will come out a winner.<\/p>\n

Especially since the country’s economy is really in an alarming situation. It must be recognized that the purchasing power of the average Mauritian is dwindling dramatically.<\/p>\n

Many Mauritians, with the exception of those of the wealthy class of course, increasingly live on credit. Even with a permanent job, the ‘little’ Mauritian feels his purchasing power is decreasing quite drastically and he is starting to worry. Moreover, where we are, the degradation of morals seriously worries Mauritians. Insecurity is also another concern.<\/p>\n

What to do? So many questions and concerns for middle class and working class Mauritians that will never be resolved as long as the country’s political leaders do not come forward with a work plan where the Truth with a capital V and transparency in national affairs will be on the agenda of every politician in the country. In government or in opposition, politicians have a sacred duty to tell the people what they are preparing for the future. No more than that\u2026<\/p>\n
