Africa-Press – Mozambique. A canoe transporting people and goods between Mulai and Djogoro in Pebane district, Zambézia province, sank on Wednesday (15-12), at a cost of four lives, Diário da Zambézia has learned from local sources.
Sources did not detail the ages of the victims or the cause of the accident, but were able to confirm that three victims were from the village of Mulai, and the fourth from the headquarters village.
All funerals have by now taken place, with local government help.
Pebane has recently been the scene of a series of tragic incidents, with fires resulting in fatalities also recorded.
