Africa-Press – Mozambique. A 29-year-old young Mozambican is causing a stir with a brand of sandalwood glasses frames.

With Zambezi Eyewear, Celso Ferreira wants to help people with vision problems and low incomes – but still with a sense of style.

Ferreira, who holds a degree in Accounting and Management, says that the idea came to him as he looked at three pairs of glasses on his desk. “Why not make Mozambican frames?” he thought.

Zambezi Eyewear searches for identity and originality.

The startup employs four other young people, and uses wood from central and northern Mozambique
