Africa-Press – Mozambique. The National Institute of Meteorology (INAM) is forecasting heavy rains (more than 50 millimetres in 24 hours), locally very heavy (more than 100 millimetres in 24 hours), accompanied by thunderstorms and gusty winds, in the provinces of Sofala, Manica, Tete and Zambezia.
Additionally, moderate to heavy rains accompanied by thunderstorms are expected in the provinces of Nampula, Niassa and Cabo Delgado.

Given the likelihood of thunderstorms, heavy rains and associated phenomena, INAM recommends taking all appropriate precautionary and safety measures.
