President Nyusi meets Congolese counterpart in Brazzaville

Africa-Press – Mozambique. President Filipe Nyusi has just announced on his official Facebook page that he “briefly stopped” in Brazzaville, Republic of Congo, on his way back home from his state visit to the Republic of Ghana, where he held a meeting with Dennis Sassou Nguesso.

According to the note, among various subjects, the two Heads of State reviewed the stage of cooperation between our two countries, as well as aspects of the security situation on the continent and in the world”.

“I also presented President Nguesso with the state of play on the fight against terrorism in Mozambique and we reaffirmed our commitment to join efforts to eradicate this evil on the continent and in the world,” reads the post.

“Our candidacy for non-permanent member of the Security Council was another matter addressed, for which we have the support of that sister country,” it concludes.
