CCM and IPEME promote MSMEs training in quality certification

Africa-Press – Mozambique. Managers of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) from different areas of economic activity in Mozambique received training in matters of quality certification this Tuesday (17-08).

The training, promoted by the Chamber of Commerce of Mozambique (CCM) in partnership with the Institute for the Promotion of Small and Medium Enterprises (IPEME), is part of the materialisation of one of CCM’s core activities: the promotion of brand and product quality certification, either to satisfy the national market or to facilitate export to competitive regional and international markets.

CCM Vice-President Yolanda Fernandes emphasised that the training would help IPEME outline strategies to ensure access to the various mechanisms for certifying product quality.

On behalf of IPEME, Francisco Mabunda said that the initiative aimed to assist MSMEs and help them make quality-certified products available in the national and foreign markets.

The manager of the PJK Group, Paulo Conjo, reiterated that it was a learning session on the use of certification systems, both by entrepreneurs and customers. Among the lessons learned, Conjo highlighted the relevance of the ISO system in helping make entrepreneurs more competitive.
