Africa-Press – Mozambique. Four months after claiming the March 24 attack on Palma town in Cabo Delgado – while offering photographs of Mocímboa da Praia in evidence – the terrorist organisation Islamic State has claimed responsibility for [two] terrorist attacks in the province.
In ommuniques reported this Tuesday (July 13), the terrorist organisation claimed responsibility for the July 2 attack in Dica village, on the border of the districts of Mueda and Mocímboa da Praia.
Islamic State also claimed to have ambushed a Defence and Security Forces (FDS) patrol last Monday (July 12) in Muidumbe district.
From the attack in Dica, the terrorist organisation claims to have seized two armoured vehicles and four rifles, and three motorbikes abandoned by the military after the incident on Monday.
