Africa-Press – Mozambique. Inhambane province and Maputo city are to host public consultation meetings concerning the preliminary presentation of the environmental impact study relating to hydrocarbon exploration in the Mazenga block, in the Mozambique Sedimentary Basin.
In Inhambane province, the action will take place in the provincial capital, Inhambane, and in Panda, Homoíne, Morrumbene, Funhalouro, Massinga and Vilankulo districts.
In a public announcement this week, Mozgas Energy and Empresa Nacional de Hidrocarbonetos (ENH) indicate that they intend to acquire two-dimensional (2D) seismic data and drill exploration and evaluation boreholes, all contractual obligations within the scope of determining the hydrocarbon potential of the area.
