Africa-Press – Mozambique. The Commander of the Afungi Special Operational Theatre, General Manuel Cau, visited military positions in the theatre during the last few days in order to support and monitor activities of the Armed Forces of Defence of Mozambique (FADM) in the fight against the terrorism besetting the province of Cabo Delgado.
In the trenches, General Cau conveyed to the military the encouragement of the Commander-in-Chief of the Defence and Security Forces, President Filipe Nyusi, to the effect that, at this moment in time, the work they are carrying out is of greatest import, because the enemy is losing ground, and the FADM must therefore continue to work for the defence of sovereignty and the country’s territorial integrity.
