Africa-Press – Mozambique. More than 35,000 people displaced from Mocimboa da Praia district by terrorist attacks have already voluntarily returned to their home communities.
Mocímboa District administrator Sergio Cipriano says that the return of families is being stimulated by the improvement in security conditions, and that a significant portion of the ‘comunidades’ previously abandoned are now beginning to be re-populated.
Cipriano cited as examples the return of residents to the Mbau administrative post, and those of other ‘comunidades’ to at least eight administrative posts in the central and northern parts of Mocimboa da Praia district.
