Africa-Press – Mozambique. The rehabilitation of Mocimboa da Praia port in Cabo Delgado is entering its final phase.
This infrastructure was damaged in the wake of terrorist attacks.
The information was provided by Cabo Delgado Provincial Director of Industry and Commerce Nocif Magaia, who was speaking at the 8th public-private dialogue, which took place in Pemba on Monday under the guidance of Governor of Cabo Delgado Valige Tauabo.
Magaia said that the re-entry into service of the port would boost development not only in the district, but also, due to its geographical location, in the entire northern region.
Meanwhile, the volume of cargo, especially minerals, leaving the port of Pemba for various global destinations, has increased significantly in recent times.
