Mahindra to invest 250 million meticais in Mozambique expansion

Africa-Press – Mozambique. Loydy D’Costa, director general of MHL Auto, the Mahindra concessionaire in Mozambique, said in Maputo on Friday that the company would invest a further 250 million meticais in infrastructure in Mozambique.

Speaking after the inauguration of a Mahindra tractors and heavy vehicles assembly plant and the launch of the latest range, D’Costa observed that, over 29 years operating in the country, Mahindra had invested around 200 million meticais in the construction of infrastructure, customer support systems, repair part stock and training.

“More than half of that investment was directed towards the new facility located on Avenida Acordos de Lusaka, in the country’s capital, which serves as the national focal point for all sales and services of light and heavy vehicles,” he said. The plan is to continue to expand the national presence, increasing the number of customer touchpoints in all provinces
