Africa-Press – Mozambique. Several neighbourhoods in the cities of Maputo and Matola have been without water for about 48 hours and many residents of the Matola “A” and Trevo neighbourhoods have resorted to fetching it in ditches , O País reports.
Every moment, O País adds, people arrive from various parts of the city of Matola, carrying drums and other containers and all are looking for water.
The population says that the lack of water was a big surprise.
The situation is caused by the rains that have fallen in the last five days in the city and province of Maputo.
