Africa-Press – Mozambique. Manga Secondary School, located in the Beira city neighbourhood of the same name, will benefit from a thoroughgoing rehabilitation, United Nations Development Program (UNDP) representative in Mozambique, AntoĢnio Molpeceres, announced yesterday morning during a visit to the establishment.
Molpeceres was accompanied by the governor of Sofala province and officials from the Provincial Directorate of Education and the Post Cyclone Reconstruction (GREPOC) cabinet.
Antonio Molpeceres. said that, having seen at first hand the state of dilapidation of the school, there was no doubt that it deserved a positive response to the request for funding for the complete rehabilitation both of the infrastructure itself and the equipment therein, in order to guarantee the quality of teaching.
The rehabilitation of the Manga Secondary School comes four years after Cyclone Idai devastated it, along with other infrastructure in Beira and other parts of the centre of the country and northern Inhambane.
