Africa-Press – Mozambique. The concessionaire of national highway number four (EN4) in Mozambique advises citizens of the country to avoid travelling to South Africa.

The position comes in the wake of protest actions registered in the neighbouring country since Thursday.

The director of maintenance of the concessionaire of national highway number four, advances that the protests are characterized by throwing stones and setting fire to vehicles, as well as the placement of barricades to prevent the passage of motorists.

Thus, for security reasons, TRAC and the South African authorities decided to temporarily ban circulation on the EN4, in South African territory, at points where protests are taking place.

“The protests are not on the EN4, in Mozambique, they are happening in Witbank, in South Africa. The EN4 in Mozambique is completely open and people are circulating normally”, he told Rádio Moçambique.

Fenias Mazive advises against traveling by road, to neighbouring South Africa, until the situation is fully under control.
