Africa-Press – Mozambique. A woman has been arrested in connection with the industrial-scale cannabis ‘machamba’ deactivated a few days ago by the National Criminal Investigation Service (SERNIC) in Changalane, Namaacha district, Maputo province.
She is a 35-year-old citizen, caught by the police during a patrol close to the aforementioned plantation on the weekend.
In all, four hectares of cannabis planting were deactivated.
The spokesperson at the Maputo Provincial Command who imparted the information explained that the corporation was ramping up pressure in the case with a view to neutralising other parties involved.
