Africa-Press – Mozambique. Manuel Tomé, the head of the [Frelimo] Central Assistance Brigade to Sofala province, has asked the population in the province to be vigilant against terrorist groups attempting to take refuge there.
He also called for the denunciation of any acts tending towards instability.
For Manuel Tomé, the armed violence plaguing both Cabo Delgado province and the central part of the country is retarding the country’s development.
“We know that peace is very important for national development; without peace there is no development. President Nyusi is working very hard for the development of our country, because we have leaders with vision, with dedication, judging by the achievements that have been made by our party, by our government,” he said.
Speaking this Monday at a meeting with Frelimo activists in Beira, Tomé also demanded that members refrain from corruption, for the good name of the party.
