Africa-Press – Mozambique. In Gaza, technicians and professionals in various support areas necessary to guarantee the functioning of Chongoene airport are now in training.
These are firefighters, administrative and technical staff that Aeroportos de Moçambique (ADM) has recruited as part of preparations for the launch of the Gaza project.
With the contract now around 95% complete, construction of the new airport is expected to be finished next month (September).
ADM chairman Emanuel Chaves, who visited the project on Tuesday, said that the company has technical and professional staff with proven experience in managing infrastructure of this nature.
The construction of the project, an investment worth around US$74 million, is being financed by the Chinese government, within the scope of cooperation between China and Mozambique.
