Africa-Press – Mozambique. The Johane Marange Church will build four schools in Manica province, centre of Mozambique, Rádio Moçambique reports.

The announcement was made at the annual international conference of the Johane Marange Church held on Saturday in Vandúzi district, Manica province, attracting around 6,000 believers from Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Malawi and South Africa.

The initiative comes six months after the Mozambican government legalised the confession, after it revised its internal rules, which conflicted with the fundamental rights of citizens, particularly by way of a prohibition on its members attending school.

The national apostle of the Johane Marange church in Mozambique, Manuel Alberto, expressed the church’s openness to collaborating with the government on further reforms to the religious confession.

Governor of Manica Francisca Tomás, who participated in one of the conference sessions, encouraged Johane Marange church leaders to continue implementing reforms, for the good of both its adherents and the population in general.
