Africa-Press – Mozambique. Absa Bank Moçambique last Thursday (21-10) inaugurated a new branch in Vila da Macia, Bilene district, Gaza province, that will provide a transversal service to all customer segments.

The new branch replaces the one previously existing in the town, continuing a process of renewing the bank’s image, aiming at a more fluid, dynamic service, with the delivery of excellent services through the model of multi-purpose customer-oriented teams.

The Director of Retail and Business Banking at Absa Bank Mozambique, Pedro Carvalho, said that Absa’s new venture in Gaza province reaffirms the bank’s commitment as a financial institution to the service of Mozambican citizens and the Mozambican economy.

Speaking at the inauguration, Pedro Carvalho, said: “The last two years have been atypical. We were surprised by cyclones Idai and Kenneth, by the situation in the North of the country, and also by the Covid-19 pandemic, which affected us and continues to affect us all. We are focused on responding to challenges, implementing innovative and value-adding solutions, resulting from the strong commitment of each of our employees.”

“Despite all the challenges, Absa Mozambique continues to support its customers, employees, business partners and the country in general, so that together we can go through this phase and continue to develop our businesses,” he added.

Absa Bank Mozambique has been operating in the country for over 42 years.
