The Governor of Cabo Delgado Province, Valige Tauabo is visiting Abu Dhabi and was , on Wednesday (October 17)received in audience at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates, reads a communique issued by the Conselho Executivo de Cabo Delgado press office.
Valige Tauabo’s visit, adds the same source, aims to strengthen cooperation ties between the two Governments, that of Abu Dhabi and that of Cabo Delgado Province, reads the statement (in Portuguese, below].
During the meeting, issues such as the current situation in Cabo Delgado, in terms of stability and the need for the two Governments to cooperate in the reconstruction of public and private infrastructures destroyed by the action of terrorist attacks, were discussed.
The Director of the Department of International Security Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the UAE, Salem Mohammed Al Zaabi,, expressed his commitment to embracing the cause of Cabo Delgado, having guaranteed that he will carry out a working visit to the Province.
The Governor of Cabo Delgado was accompanied by the Mozambican Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates and the Press Attaché, concludes the communique, published on the official Facebook page of the Executive Council of Cabo Delgado.
