Africa-Press – Mozambique. President Daniel Chapo and the CEO of the Africa50 Group Alain Eboibissé held a meeting in Seville on Wednesday to discuss the support of the pan-African infrastructure investment platform for key projects in the energy, transport, and information and communication technologies sectors in Mozambique.

During the meeting, the head of state reaffirmed the Mozambican government’s firm commitment to consolidating strategic partnerships that drive the country’s sustainable development.

The President of the Republic received concrete investment proposals for the country.

“My meeting with His Excellency, President Chapo, focused on the support we propose to the Government of Mozambique and the country, in specific projects, infrastructure projects in the country. We discussed projects in the energy sector. We also spoke about projects in the transport sector and projects in information and communication technologies,” Ebobissé detailed in statements to the press at the end of the meeting with the Mozambican head of state.

The CEO of Africa50 also praised the president for the decision to host the general meeting of the institution’s shareholders in Maputo.

“One of the important discussions we had was also to thank His Excellency President Chapo for hosting the Africa 50 general shareholders meeting in Maputo in August. This will be an event where we will bring together many African countries, but also participants from outside Africa, to showcase what is happening in projects in Mozambique, as well as to talk about what Africa50 has done for Africa and Mozambique,” Ebobissé said.

This meeting in Seville follows a previous meeting, when President Chapo had already discussed investment opportunities in infrastructure in the country, reinforcing the importance of cooperation between the Government and Africa50 for the sustainable progress of Mozambique.

President Daniel Chapo thus remains committed to ensuring that Mozambique harnesses the potential of strategic partnerships to accelerate the development of sectors that are crucial to the national economy and the well-being of the population.

Africa50, owned by 33 African countries, including Mozambique, and with the participation of the African Development Bank (AfDB), has the mission of accelerating infrastructure development on the continent. With the holding of the Africa50 annual general shareholders meeting in Maputo, the country will be in the spotlight of the African continent and international investors, opening doors to new opportunities for growth and modernization of national infrastructure.
