Africa-Press – Mozambique. President Daniel Chapo t is conducting a working visit to Zambézia province from today until Saturday, as part of his direct monitoring of the implementation of local government programs.
The head of state will visit the city of Quelimane and the districts of Guruè, Mocuba, and Pebane.
He is accompanied by the Minister of the Interior, Paulo Chachine; Minister of State Administration and Civil Service, Inocêncio Impissa; Minister of Justice, Constitutional and Religious Affairs, Mateus Saize; Minister of Finance, Carla Loveira; Minister of Economy, Basílio Muhate; and Minister of Youth and Sports, Caifadine Manasse.
During his stay, the head of state will chair an extraordinary session of the Provincial Executive Council, which will include the Council of State Representation Services, district administrators, and presidents of the Municipal Councils, according to a statement from the Presidency of the Republic.
The document states that the President will hold meetings with local government agencies and business leaders in the province, with a view to strengthening institutional coordination and stimulating economic activity and local investment.
Chapo’s visit will include popular rallies and meetings with religious and community leaders, as well as representatives of the province’s youth.
