Africa-Press – Mozambique. This morning the European Military Mission in Mozambique (EUMAM MOZ) received in their headquarters a visit of a United States (US) military delegation.
Welcomed by the EUMAM MOZ Mission Force Commander, Brigadier General Luís Barroso, the US delegation, composed by the US Defence Attaché in Mozambique, Lieutenant-Colonel Louis Cascino, and the Chief of the Office of Security Cooperation at the US Embassy in Mozambique Lieutenant-Commander Celesse Hidrovo-Guidry, got to know more about the context and work that the European mission has been developing in the last months with the Mozambican Defence Armed Forces (FADM).
This visit reflects the good relations and collaboration between institutions, keeping looking forward to the progress of Mozambique and the Mozambican population.
EUMAM MOZ is a non-executive mission with a mandate until June 2026 and focuses on the operational cycle and maintenance, while also carrying out specialised training to enable the FADM to be sel-sufficient in the fight against insurgency. This European Union mission has currently 83 military personnel from 11 nationalities.
