Solenta Aviation is preparing to commence operations at Beira Airport in Mozambique, following authorization from the Civil Aviation Authority. The company plans to deploy three aircraft with a capacity of 50 passengers each, aiming to enhance air connectivity and support the local economy in Sofala province. Operations are expected to start in the latter half of the year.
Africa-Press – Mozambique. The Governor of Sofala, Lourenço Bulha, received Brian Holmes, Managing Director of Solenta Aviation Mozambique, in an audience on Monday (9 February). Solenta will establish its operations base in Beira following authorisation from the Civil Aviation Authority of Mozambique in December of last year.
The company will initially deploy three aircraft, each with a capacity of 50 passengers, with operations expected to commence in the second half of this year, while the implementation process at Beira International Airport continues, including all necessary administrative, technical and logistical procedures.
The initiative will strengthen air connectivity, boost the local economy and consolidate Beira’s strategic position as an important regional transport hub, contributing to the development of Sofala province.
