Africa-Press – Mozambique. The Mozambican parliament, the Assembly of the Republic, begins today the activities of its Third Ordinary Session in its 10th Legislature.
For this session, which will close on 8 May, 21 agenda items have been scheduled. These include, among other procedural matters, information and questions to the Government, as well as the Annual Report of the Attorney-General of the Republic.
Draft bills relating to the press and broadcasting, the Higher Mass Media Council (CSCS), and the Organic Law of the Assembly of the Republic are also on the agenda.
The session will open in a formal ceremony, with a speech by the President of the Assembly of the Republic (Speaker), Margarida Talapa, followed by statements by the heads of the parliamentary benches (Frelimo, PODEMOS, Renamo and MDM) and the approval of the order of business.
