The President of the Maputo Municipal Council, Rasaque Manhique, officially swore in new officials yesterday.
Fernando Uache was sworn in as the new Chairman of the Board of the Maputo Municipal Public Transport Company (EMTPM). The EMTPM Board also welcomed Camilo Cassamo as Executive Operational Administrator, while Julião Cossa and Miguel Mabote were sworn in as Non-Executive Administrators.
Nelson Massango was also sworn in as Director of Environment and Sanitation.
On the occasion, Mayor Manhique reaffirmed the commitment to discipline, efficiency, and structural transformation in the governance of Maputo.
He added that urban mobility and urban hygiene are central pillars for municipal governance, underpinning urban dignity, economic competitiveness, and the improvement of residents’ quality of life.
