Africa-Press – Mozambique. <\/strong><\/span>Nine new provincial delegates of the Edible Nuts Institute of Mozambique [Instituto de Am\u00eandoas de Mo\u00e7ambique] were sworn in on Wednesday, and challenged to achieve institutional goals by prioritising knowledge and information.<\/p>\n

Arlete Jos\u00e9 Macu\u00e1cua Filimone, S\u00e9rgio Domingos Uique, El\u00eddio Liliano Carlos Bacar, Faque Anli, Marta Regina Mafambane Chicava, Sifa Bernardo Ant\u00f3nio, J\u00falio Ventura Langa, Adelino Tadeu and Domingos Armando Guissemo were nominated for the positions of provincial delegates in Maputo, Gaza, Inhambane, Manica, Sofala, Zambezia, Nampula, Niassa and Cabo Delgado, respectively.<\/p>\n

On the occasion, director-general of the Edible Nuts Institute of Mozambique Il\u00eddio Bande challenged the incumbents to contribute to the achievement of the institution\u2019s strategic goals and objectives, with an eye to the new context in which it found itself.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur strategic objectives and targets are ambitious and challenging. Therefore, they require capable, committed human resources placed in places that allow them to make the most of their skills and leadership. We believe that, unlike in the past, organisational success factors are knowledge and information, intangible assets held only by man,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n

Bande emphasised that the agrarian sector had been carrying out legal and institutional reforms which affect the sector\u2019s objectives, for which reason the Instituto de Almonds de Mo\u00e7ambique favoured the promotion of the sustainable development of almonds in the country.<\/p>\n

Alongside appealing for efficient financial and wealth management, Bande urged the new delegates to organize and plan activities according to the institutional strategy and in accordance with the legislation in force.<\/p>\n

The inauguration ceremony was witnessed by staff from the Edible Nuts Institute and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.<\/p>\n
