Africa-Press – Mozambique. <\/strong><\/span>Mozambique Renewable Energy Conference & Expo (\u2018Morenergy\u2019) is an annual, international event organized by the National Association of Young Entrepreneurs (ANJE) and partners, whose first edition will take place in Maputo from 22nd to 24th March 2022, under the motto \u201cMore Clean Energy for Sustainable Development\u201d.<\/p>\n

Mozambique has a huge potential for renewable energy, which is why ANJE and its partners launched the \u2018Morenergy\u2019 Conference and Expo in Maputo this Tuesday, under the motto \u201cMore Clean Energy for Sustainable Development\u201d.<\/p>\n

The event aims to stimulate the renewable energy sector in Mozambique, considered one of the strategic axes for the construction of \u201ca dynamic, competitive, innovative and sustainable energy sector, with prosperity shared by all\u201d, and for the \u201cdevelopment with a strong multiplier effect on the Mozambican economy\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis event is a great opportunity for potential stakeholders among investors, financers, contractors, suppliers and manufacturers of renewable energy technologies,\u201d said Ant\u00f3nio Sa\u00edde, CEO of FUNAE, adding that the energy transition was an irreversible process.<\/p>\n

For ANJE president Lineu Candieiro, the launch was evidence of the association\u2019s energetic and futuristic vision, which is inspired by the challenges of the present to bring solutions for the future.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is in renewable energies that the next driving factor for national and world development resides,\u201d Candieiro said.<\/p>\n

The director of Renewable Energies at Electricidade de Mo\u00e7ambique, Olga Utchavo, said that Morenergy would be a great opportunity for suppliers, and highlighted the role of young people in the sector.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have the sun, the wind, biomass, solid waste, and a lot of opportunity to use these resources in an alternative and sustainable way, develop the productive use of these energies, and also to enhance the economic sector, especially the role of young people who will have the opportunity to leverage their projects through these energies,\u201d Utchavo said.<\/p>\n

President Filipe Nyusi emphasized that \u201cthe commitment to renewable energies will ensure industrial transformation and development, agro-processing, aquaculture, and increase energy access for more families\u201d.<\/p>\n

The event has the support of other stakeholders in the sector and will serve as a \u201chub\u201d, in which agents from the public and private sectors will be present.<\/p>\n

This first ANJE will be a hybrid event, with both the conference and exhibition, in addition to being able to witness \u201cin loco\u201d with limited space and movement of people. It will be possible to follow proceedings online, attracting delegates from around the world.<\/p>\n

The Morenergy initiative aims to contribute to the Millennium Goals, through the mobilization of the private and public sector and international investments. Available lines of financing and ongoing investments in Mozambique will also be presented.<\/p>\n
